Interdisciplinary research is a boost to our work as an institution. Research within the subject area will entail cooperation with the History and Comparative Literature departments, and teaching will be carried out in cooperation with the teacher-education program. Documented evidence of cooperation across subject and department lines is for that reason especially noteworthy.

Given that lecturers will be required to conduct teaching within the teacher-education program, proficiency in instruction is sought, especially concerning younger learners. In consideration of the number of introductory and advanced courses offered remotely, experience with web-based instruction is also desirable.
