The Department of Information Systems and Techonology is situated at Campus Sundsvall. Its activities include research in the field of Computer and System science, mainly in the fields of the subjects Computer engineering and Industrial organization and economy.

Job description
We are looking for a researcher to work on a project related with light field imaging. The primary function of the researcher is to develop and test computational algorithms for light field representation, sparsification, reconstruction and compression.

The job responsibilities include:
Developing algorithms for light field reconstruction based on sparsification in a transform domain Design learned models of light field sparsification Design motion and disparity prediction models with applications to light field compression.

Qualifications required
A successful candidate is a researcher with MSc or PhD degree in computer science, electrical engineering or related, with experience in processing multidimensional signals and machine learning.

The position requires proficiency in English, both written and spoken.

The following qualities are appreciated:

Experience in TensorFlow
Good communication skills
Ability to translate signal processing problems into machine learning models
Technical background in multi-view capture (camera calibration, projective geometry, Lambertianity)
Knowledge of theoretical basis of light field formalism (two-plane parameterization, epipolar plane images, sampling and reconstruction of the plenoptic function).

Employment: Temporary employment, tree months, full time. Expected starting date is 2020-07-01 or according to agreement.
