Associate Senior Lecturer in CE, Specialization in Wireless Communication - Hiring in process/Finished, not possible to apply

Job description: The aim for this position is that it should comprise research and teaching to approximately the same extent. The research will be conducted in the research group Communication Systems and Networking, which is a Scandinavian leading group in the area of wireless communication for industrial applications. The candidate will actively collaborate with other researchers within the research group, but also with our external collaborators in academia and industry. The research duties include theoretical analysis, algorithm design and implementation via software based simulations, and documentation in the form of technical papers and reports. You are also expected to work with applications for research funding from external research financiers. You will teach advanced courses in wireless communication and wireless networks as well as computer science courses with large elements of mathematical statistics, such as stochastic processes and simulation and performance analysis of communication systems.

Requirements and assessment: For this position, you must hold a PhD in Computer Engineering, Signal Processing, Wireless Communications or a closely related subject. A person who has completed a doctorate or has corresponding qualification no more than 5 years before the application deadline should be prioritized (for exemptions see the Swedish Higher Education Ordinance, 4 chapter 4 a §), as well as formal educational training in the form of an introductory course in higher education and educational experience in teaching. In addition, the eligibility conditions and assessment criteria described in Qualifications criteria for employment as assistant senior lecturer in the Faculty of Science, Technology and Media are applicable.

Procedure: The recruitment process follows the regulations of the Higher Education Ordinance, Chapter 4, and the appointment rules of Mid Sweden University.

Terms of employment: Fulltime for 4 years, starting 1 April 2019 or according to agreement.
